I was wondering that is it possible to be good in one form of poker, say in stud poker and bad in other form like, say Texas holdem. I am unaware of various forms of poker. Should one can try to play a different poker game if he has got skills of another game.

Every game is different form the other. A player who is an expert in one game might appear a complete fool in the other game. Furthermore every game requires certain skill sets so one can try and to improve.

It is kind of obvious what you said as each game is different, skills required for that game is different as well. I am not an expert on this, but can one learn basics of various poker games to a level where he could start gambling in various games with real money.

Quite a tricky question. I believe it varies from person to person and also depends upon his traits like ability to learn and implement, patience, aptitude and mostly attitude. Franky speaking I have not come across many people playing and winning well in varies forms of a game. Some are specialist in one game but not so good in other.

Thanks for the reply. I believe certain tips are common in all formats of the poker, like physical tells, BR management. But on a whole it takes a lot out of you to play and perform well in various forms in poker .
