Hi everyone, I am a fulltime poker player from Toronto Canada, Recently I had to stop working because of a back injury at my job. Only 22 years old a dream of mine to go into the airforce has come to a stop. Not being able to do the things I used to enjoy is a dissapointment, no more basketball bowling hockey no sports :((

So I recently decided to take up poker. I Started out playing live cash game sessions sometimes going 3 days straight with no sleep at my local casinos. But then I lost my license!

living in a small town called Barrie, up north where the snow drops heavily in the winter, about an hr outside of Toronto Ontario Canada with no way of getting to my local casinos either than the bus :s not taking a bus ride home holding thousand of dollars thankyou :s, So I decided to take up the online felt.

It is a real mental slow learning process mentally for alot of people and you need to have alot of self control and be very emotionally stable to be a successful online felter in my mind.

I found myself not following Bankroll Management skills properly in my first couple months pretty much chip dumping at stakes which I could not comfortably take the up and down swings online at. Even though im comfortable at a live casino crushing 2/5 NL online I am not even comfortable at the NL 100 stakes which would be .50/.1.00 No limit blinds, I mean Im comfy obv playing those limits but the downswings with a short bankroll can really set you on tilt withing minutes. also I tend to multi table alot, and when you multi table the beats you take can be crazy, consider playing 12 tables instead of just 4 at the same time, and taking 6 str8 collers in a row can really set a guy off.

Which brings me to PSO, I love always learning about poker, you never stop learning, everyday you learn something new, every loss you take you learn from those mistake and make changes to your game for the next session/ tournament.

I honestly can say I have never read one poker book in my life time, not yet anyways! I really dont think I need to read about others success to improve my own. I do however wish to read Ace on the River by Doctor Barry G, he's my alltime favourite poker player and I would deffinetly give his book a read.

Overall I pretty much read cardplayer.com everyday and just watch alot of hightakes poker on gsn or skynet, all the highstakes games, always watching poker, I tend to learn things more that way instead of reading.

Here at pokersource online I have signed up for a $50.00 bankroll. Will keep up to date stats as best as possible on this blog of mine.

My original goal was to play 100,000 hands withing 30 days. Not knowing Im not qualified for rake back on this account.

So I am to set a couple new goals on this challenge and eventually start a new one with either UB for the 100,000 hands in 30 days, or hopefully Doyles room, Doyles room has moved to the cake pokjer network withing the last week, I know PSo offers Cake poker rake back, and I hope in the near future rake back on Doyles Site so I can do this challenge.

Absolute Poker Challenge SickCallWu

-Goals

- Reach Gold Fame status in first month

-Turn starting Capita of 50.00 into 100-250

-Have an overall wining session rate of 50%

-Place first place in at least One MTT with buying no more than 3$ no less than 1$

I know these goals seem small but honestly I will be mostly playing alot else where this month to make my profits so I dont have too much time for this challenge.

But Hope to reach these first couple goals and then I can set a couple more afterwards.

Remember people don't set yourself up for failure, set reachable fairly easy goals to reach, reach them, feel good about yourself and then decide your next move.

Never set your goals too high :))

Cheers best of luck to everyone at the tables.

P.S. Don't let the rabbit hunt get you in a Fishy mood :))

So Far so Bankroll stands at 125$, last night I made my second MTT final table in the 1,000$ garanteed 2.20 buyin. I made two bad plays calling with 99 three handed miss reading the guy that acts after mes chip stack and donked off about 70k in chips and then I floped top pair with J kicker lost to Q kicker to go out in 9th place.

I have only 200 fame points and am going to have to get alot of cash hands played before the end of the month to get to gold status.

I have only played about 4,00 hands so far at ring game on absolute, I would be happy to reach 10,000 hands by the end of the month with an overall win rate of over 50%. Obviously still only buying into ring i.e. cash games for no more than 5 % of my bankroll and tourneys for no more than 2 % of my bankroll.

Last night I played a little HUNL10 with a regular at absolute poker. this guys name is 5KIDSTOFEED search him on up PTR. He is a HU grinder at Absolute poker and has a steady graph win rate over 60k hands at NL10 and NL25 HU. I sat down with the guy at about 3 am last night. I just finished watching the aussie millions on youtube and wanted to get my poker fix in a little bit before bed. I decided to sit down and play until power hour was done, between 1-5 am and 1-5 pm when you earn double points I believe.

5KIDSTOFEED Sitting with 10$ I poker edged him and check up on his stats before playing him, noticing hes a good wining HU player, normally I look for fish but I wanted a challenge.

I sat down with 4$ because my bankroll was only 101$ bankroll management guys trust me!!! it works!!!

I sat with 4 dollars, 5KIDSTOFEED sits out and says add more $$ or Im not playing. lol It was a deep stack table, I added 20$ and sat out and told him to add $$$, clearly he was trying to act like a big shot. Normally I wouldnt buying for such an amount considering my bankroll but I was willing to leve once My buying drop below 15$. Session played for about 17 hands him playing super aggressively 3 and 4 betting every hand. even when I would see a flop Hed bet me off my hands with huge crazzy pot size bets. He got me down to 16$ and was chatting alot talking down to me saying I really need to learn to play HU. Inside I was laughing knowing that Im just waiting for my time, to set this guy up. after about 30 minutes I started picking up on his bet patterns and knowing when to set him up for a huge check raise and felt him.

Cracked him for a couple pots getting back up to 22$, when I get dealt KJ of spades.

Flop 7s Kd 3s I flop top pair and flush.

I check knowing hes gonna bet nomatter what he has, he bets pot about 70cents, I min raise he flats. turn Jd.

I now have Kings and jacks with a flush draw :)) I now at this point know he is drawing dead and only has a bluff left just from playing with him I had that feeling hes dead!

I check he bets pot 3$ I clock down a bit and min raise to 6$ to have him instantly shove allin for about 20$ were obviously I call and I river a 2 of spades making my flush.

Showdown he shows k9 offsuit :o lol Got him for 30$

He left right away. I tried to join him for another game but he kept sitting out. Someone whos is really good, cause he does have a fairly good win graph, was such a jerk, when he was winning, And was overall very rude.

I don't mind taking rude peoples money :))

Most likely not going to play anymore MTTs until the weekend, just grind out the ring games and maybe look around for this atm :))

Cheers guys Good Luck.

Bankroll stands at 126$ Right now, won about 75$ at ring so far and the rest from MTT;s.

Just a quick update on my challenge so far guys.

Account balance, $198.16

Fame status silver, points 270 fame points 500 to reach my goal of gold.

Made two final tables for the 1,000$ garanteed 9th place finish twice :((

Mostly concentrating on grinding Still NL10 which is .05/.10 cent no limit holdem, until I reach a roll of 500$ and then I will climb up to NL25, .10/.25 no limit holdem.

Staying away from omaha at all times. Feel free to check my PTR SICKCALLWU for sessions or graph updates.

Cheers,

Good Luck guys.

Taking a poker win everday in my book is just fine with me, not worried about winning all the money, a poker win everyday in my book is cool :))

So I dont think Ill be playing anymore MTTs before the end of the month, I still need 180 fame points to reach my goal of gold for the month and I am going to mostly concentrate on getting that accomplished.

Balance is at 225$.

If I get my fame status withing the next couple days then that just leaves me with having to get a first place in a MTT before March 1st.

:))

Happy fishing friends !!!

So last night I reached gold status, had a balance of 268$ tried to cashout and was told I would have to deposit first, and then wait 48hrs and then maybe id be able to cashout via my visa, they don't have option for a check to be sent? Stupid in my mind. To find Out I wasnt able to cashout I decided to go up to NL100 with my 268$ roll loosing it all floping Aces up twice loosing to a floped set.

Ahwell, couldn't cashout anyways.

Was looking forward to actually showing people how to be successfull at bankroll management but if I cant cashout why waste my time building a real roll for nothing?

Anyways so I dumped the chips off no biggie, alot of work in a week and a half to build that 50$ to loose it to two bad beats but owell.

I am going to be signing up at ultimatebet with rakeback and depositing with my own money and that way I will be commited to building a roll I can cashout when I want to jeez.

Overall this challenge was a success, to bad I couldn't cashout, ended up donking it off at higher limit because of this in my mind stupid cashout restriction considering i raked 14,000 hands, lol

w/e

So UB is great, got the monies back I lost from Ap, I deposited 50$ and am up to 230$ now, not bad, I am still waiting though on the varification from the poker room for my rakeback for UB,

UB told me to contact PSo about the rakeback, they checked twice for me and confirmed I am linked with PSO on my UB account for rakeback and they told me I need to contact PSO about it???

All UB has told me is I am linked to them with PSo and they told me they are waiting on pSO???

Im confused because PSO is telling me they are waiting on UB the poker room. Who is waiting on who here Im being told different things from both parties im really confused :s
