Obviously a bad beat but I wonder if I should have been shoving anyways. Satellite and one more to go for us to advance. UTG would be all in next hand, but I'm basically all-in the hand after.

Fold. If he is forced all in next hand you don't want to risk busting even if you are a 90% favorite.

i know this is an old post and all,

but i dont beleive folding here is an option.

hands like that dont come around enough,
even if it is one more to money.

you cant roll over and die.

waiting to see if koovoos busts out in 2 hands, only leaves you more
short stacked.
no taking a shot at the double to get deeper into the money is the right play.

thats my 2 cents. :thumbs up:

heck i may have even limped there then represented AA or the flop trying to get as many callers as possible preflop.
does he call any bet for a gut shot(even a measily 8k bet which woulda been about half pot bet) post flop who knows

In a normal tournament you would be correct but this is a satellite and that dramatically changes the game dynamic. On the bubble you should never ever put yourself at risk.

Hell, I fold everything here. Would be different if UTG was not going to be all in next hand.
Since the payouts are all the same you do not play for 1st. You play to survive here
