Seriously though, was just trying to open a discussion on the hand. What's the play here? What kind of range do we put Scott on here? Marginal Call? Marginal fold? Fist Pump??

With 10bbs he is probably shoving fairly wide there. The problem is that if you lose 4000 chips you'll be in trouble, and AA/KK/QQ/AK/AQ dominates you and you are a coin flip at best against the rest of his range. I think I would have raised to 1,200 knowing that he could shove a lot of hands and I would want to price myself into the call.

How you played it I would probably fold.

How wide would you estimate Kugr? Do we go AA-88... A-k to A-10? maybe some 20 hands? K-Q, K-J, K-10, Q-10?

I mean I saw his sharkscope and saw a really nice ROI... Figured he could resteal in this spot...

I have been blind stealing alot and probably have an aggro image....


Anyhow I figured this is about his shoving range (might be a tad wide)... If I run aganst these I get 47%..... I snap call 47 percent here, but maybe I should tighten up his range a little....

Not sure I am aligned with the Idea of raising more, to price myself in to call any shove. Seems like if I am going to do that, I might as well Shove Preflop...


I can see a point for the other way, raise a bit less to give yourself room to fold a shove...


Anyhow, thanks for the comments, I definitely am not a tournament player, and like to hear the feedback...

If the sb and bb both have 10bbs or less then you definitely open shove. The problem is the sb with 12 more bbs. If you raise to 3x you can fold to a 9xbb more raise or snap call the 7xbb more raise.

If you have been stealing a lot and expect to be getting played back at with weaker hands, then you really do have to call here.
