Check fold based on what you said about him being a calling station and playing any face card. If you are going to be betting the turn, why wouldn't you make a continuation bet on the flop? Checking the flop after a pre-flop raise and betting the turn screams weakness.

With what you described I don't think I would be betting at all here.

well normally i would do exactly that but i wanted to know more about this guy.
I "wanted" to test him to see if he would pay off an over bet, which i think he does, but turns out he was on a draw.
also the play i put forth opened up a whole new can of worms for me at that table.
i opted for the "looks like broken draw play" so he shoulda called with top pair and maybe even second pair, the only hand i could make fold there would be the draw.
