Seems to be a popular topic here so I'll throw in my $.02.
I hope this can help another considering what to expect from Aztec Riches.

I signed up to Aztec this week through the PSO chip set promo link, after reading much of the (negative) opinion on Aztec in this forum. So, I was ready for some bumps but trusted that PSO's affiliation is meaningful.

I download the Aztec software, make my deposit, and complete the PSO promo page. I request my 50% welcome bonus from Aztec by e-mail and it is credited to my account minutes later.

I'll add here that I have not to date received any communications or confirmation from PSO regarding my registration. I know that I can view status of this promo in the "my account" page, but an e-mail confirmation from PSO would re-assure me that the promo registration is complete and in order.

Next, I send an e-mail to Aztec support asking what information, if any, would be required for cash-out to the same Neteller account I deposited from, and noted that this needed to be clear before I played a hand at their site.

I received an automated response immediately, and a personal response soon after stating that I needed to provide identification verifying my name, address, and date of birth. Also, to set my preferred payment to Neteller I needed to confirm the e-mail address registered to my Neteller account.

I returned the registered e-mail address and a scan of my driver's licence verifying name, address, and date of birth.

2 hours later I received an e-mail from Aztec stating that my Neteller account had been registered as preferred payment. But, that Aztec is unable to verify the expiry of my driver's licence and could I send the back of my licence to "confirm details".

I don't know what the expiry of my licence has to do with the price of tea in China, but quickly return another scan of the reverse side verifying the expiry.

Another quick e-mail response from Aztec ... "we have received your identification ... Your Player Management Status has now been upgraded, and you will receive your cashins as soon as possible. Please ensure that you update your payment preference. To do this all you have to do is reply to this email stating your payment option. If you chose NEteller, we require the address with which you have registered your Neteller account."

Now I'm thinking "here's where we go in circles."

I return e-mail stating that my payment preference had already been confirmed, and give the requested information anyhow.

That is where I stand with Aztec. My current impression is that my money is safe on the Prima Network (I have played one other Prima site before), but unlikely to be quickly or painlessly retrieved when I decide to cash-out.

E-mail support has been very quick in response (good).
They have already asked me for redundant info (bad).

If you do not have a Party Poker account, I suggest using the PSO Party Poker chipset promo over the Aztec riches promo. Party will pay you quickly, the games are softer, and their bonuses are among the easiest to clear.

Hope this helps, maybe I'll add as I going along.

On a side note regarding the chip set offered. I have a set of chips which I am sure are the same and you should be happy with them. Not casino quality - they are heavier and more squarely edged - but if you have none they will fit the bill.

Minister's pretty much right on with the Aztec promotion. I think everyone will appreciate the detailed review.

While the email responses were quick, it's actually even quicker to talk to an agent LIVE. They can answer all your questions and can credit the bonus money instantly. They also will update you on how many raked hands you've played. It's updated about every half hour.

About the rake: For Aztec, a "raked" hand has to be atleast $5 and you have to have contributed money to the pot. You can't just see hands and fold. To get the bonus, you need 100 raked hands.

With Party Poker, it's 250 raked hands but you DO NOT have to contribute any money to the pot. Also, raked hands are updated instantly on the Party Poker website and the bonus is awarded instantly as well.

Cashing out: With Aztec, it takes at least two days. Today is my second day waiting. I'll follow up and let you know if it was all credited correctly. In Party Poker, the cashout is nearly instantenous if you have a neteller account.

Echoing what the minister said... if you're gonna do 1 chip promotion this year... DO PARTY POKER!.

You CAN'T lose...

Unless, of course, you're a terrible poker player.

Hope this was helpful, and you gotta love PSO and their promos.

P.S. The only bad thing about Party Poker is that the rake on a $5 pot is $.50! Just about everywhere else it's $.25.

I requested to withdraw about 20% of what I had at aztec just to test the withdrawal process. So not like I'm completely cashing out.

I emailed them and told them that I wanted neteller to be my choice of withrawals. Received email to inform me that it has been done. Took about 30 min for that. No request of ID like some other people here have had to do.

So I've been waiting 36 hours and no sign of the money. Could you imagine if you had to wait 36 hours in line at a real casino in Vegas just to cash out? Hopefully my neteller account is credited soon casue I want to use that money for another PSO promo.

The rule of thumb with Aztec is that you have to ask them EVERYTHING because they won't tell you otherwise. They're very sneaky like that.

So, my guess is that you'll actually have to fax your photo ID anyway. I'd look at the FAQ on their website about withdrawals, or talk to an operator online about it.

My withdrawal is still pending... grrrr...

I think there's a lot of confusion over the cash-out process with Neteller. I can tell you from experience, you do NOT have to send them any ID, etc, if you cashed in from, and are cashing out to Neteller. Just tell them to make Neteller your default cashout and you'll be fine. They'll still send you that automated email asking for your ID, but just ignore it. Your Neteller account will be credited in a matter of days.

Tell me about it. It took about 3 days to get my money credited from Aztec. It even took longer from Pacific. I think that's crazy since it takes SECONDS to get the money FROM Neteller and other online casinos like Starluck had my money back in Neteller within an hour. :x

Here's an update on my situation after waiting 48 hours. I decided to chat with support here's the FULL dialogue:

Please wait for a site operator to respond.
You are now chatting with 'Taleah R'
Taleah R: Hello, how may I help you today?
you: I asked for a cashout 48 hours ago. any idea how much longer I have to wait?
Taleah R: Can I have your account number or email address please?
you: XXXX@XXX.com
Taleah R: one moment
you: ok
Taleah R: It will be in there on Tuesday
you: why does it take so long?
you: and it will come via neteller right?
you: hello?
you: hello?

<disconnect>

Please wait for a site operator to respond.
You are now chatting with 'Taleah R'
you: hello?
Taleah R: Hello, how may I help you today?
you: what happened? I was chatting with you and you disappeared
you: I wanted to know why my cashout was taking so long
you: and to verify that it was going through neteller
you: hello?
Taleah R: Yes I am here
you: answer?
Taleah R: It will be there on Tuesday
you: yeah but why so long?
Taleah R: Can I have your account number or email address please?
you: XXXX@XXX.com
you: and please verify that it will come via neteller
Taleah R: It takes a couple of working days in pendng and a couple of working days to get to you
you: and it will always be like this? or just the 1st time?
you: neteller only takes a couple hours, not days
Taleah R: It is alwayss like this
you: that's crappy. please verify that my preferred cashout method is neteller
Taleah R: one moment
you: It's been more than a moment
Taleah R: sorry
Taleah R: Yes
Taleah R: it is set to neteller
you: thank you, then I will wait til tuesday

I swear this conversation took almost 1 hour. I was playing at a table so the time went by pretty quick. But they tell me Tuesday which will be 6 days from my request and apparently not any easier the second time.

You're absolutely right. It's rediculous. Seriously guys, just do Party Poker. When I cashed out it was nearly instantaneous right back into my neteller account.

I finally received my withdrawal in my neteller account. Took exactly 1 week from the time I requested it. They never asked for a copy of my ID or anything.

It's a hassle, but I don't think it will stop me from playing at Aztec. I just won't leave a large amount there.
