Hi, I've been thinking of going to Niagara Casino to try some B&M poker. Does anyone have any idea what the lowest NLHE is there? What about the general card player there? Any other info about the place would be appreciated.

If I remember correctly, I believe they had 1/2NL the last time I was there. Nice casinos. If you want to play some table games at lower stakes while you are there, go to the older casino not the newer one. Best of luck to you.

Was down there last Wednesday during the day. Fallsview lowest they had was 2/5, but it had about an hour wait to get on the table. 5/10 was immediate seating though. Casino Niagara - the older casino did have a 1/2 but the wait was also an hour. Biggest difference between the two is Fallsview has a $6/half hour session fee while Niagara goes with the traditional rake method.

Your better option for starting out is probably to head across the bridge to Seneca Niagara Casino. They have more 1/2 NL tables and the play is always horrible - probably a by-product of the free booze US casinos can give out.

Just call in to Niagara and its not a long wait unless you arrive in the wee hours of the morning when they have only one table.

The play is awful there. I spent a week there in february and the good players you can almost always read like a book, except for a few guys and the bad ones are just bad lol.

I took horrible beats all week and still came out with a profit.

I actually find Niagara has the best players out of the bunch, though still not great. IMO Seneca>Fallsview>Niagara in terms of fishiness.

I go there quite a bit. It's all limit from 2/5. Can take 2hrs+ on the weekend to get a seat for 2/5.
5/10 is a bit shorter wait.

Can be a real roller coaster ride with all the calling stations.

Well yea there are a plethora of solid players there I agree....but still there's even more bad players... if you play for long enough consecutively you notice this. Not to mention I always make sure I'm at a high pot table.

Be very careful if your at either of the casinos in Niagara Falls - Canadian side. I know there's a bunch of collusion going on there. If your at the wrong table it's you against 5 or more. The weekends are when it happens the most as thats when the tourist show up. Be aware.

Well what you mean happens inevitably in almost any casino. There are a bunch of regulars that go there and they are all pretty much friends. They have played 1 another enough and such, so they tend to stay out of each others way. I know quite a few of the regulars....its not really collusion its more like respecting each others play and knowing who are the people at the table to target, aka fishes etc etc.

I'm talking collusion. These guys end up at the same table and play together. If you go all in and several of them are still in the pot they all call. The last thing you want is more than one caller for your all in correct? Thats just one example. Like i said they come out on friday and saturday nights when the tourists show up. Also they know the other regulars and stay out of their way.

That's not necessarily collusion calling your all-in. If they all checked it down, you might have a case. As far as staying out of the way of regulars, I'll do the same thing online or live if its a person whose game I respect. Easier to prey on the fishies than tangling with a shark.

Niagara offers 1/2NLH tables. I went there my first time and won $160 after sitting down with $40 (in 5 minutes)

Also, be prepared to wait 45 minutes or so for a seat.
