Hey fellas,

Been a while since we chatted and fought together :) . Just a quickie for you fine upstanding citizens.

Is it just me, or is live play a basic joke in your casino?

I sat down at a 1/2 NL table the other day and what happened shocked the pants off of me.

This was only my second time in a live casino, so who knows.

$40 raise pre-flops in SB with KJ? (BUT THEY WERE SOOOOOTED!!)

All ins for $200 with middle pair on the flop?

Not to mention the tells.....wow Caro has many people pegged for sure. I must have taken 10 pots with this alone.

Don't get me wrong, I had a great time of it. The last thing I am doing is complaining.

I walked in with $200, and walked out with $1800 after 3 hours. It was almost a sin to leave when I did!! (Blame the old lady, she thought she deserved to go shopping!!)

I'm definitely getting back there this weekend.

Wow, what a ride for a B&M noob like myself.

Clearly you are missing the brilliance in those moves

I am difinitely missing something. But at this rate, I hope I keep missing the point. :)

I suppose it has to do with the mindset of the casino player.

They got dressed, put gas in the car, drove to the casino, and are sitting there while other players decide what to do with their hands.

They want action, and are impatient, leading to far more bluff attempts.

But I gotta tell you, it sure feels good to stack a guy when he's all in against your set on a rainbow flop!! (I'm new at this so I get a kick out of having the dealer shove a big stack in my direction still)

I could get used to this casino thing. Only trouble for me is that it is a 2 hour drive to get there in the first place.

Which for the most part has me donking it off online....... :(

I do have to say though, that for the most part the casino player is a rude bugger. The dealers, in my opinion, don't deserve half of the crap they get from some of these guys.

One such older bugger was there from my first trip into the casino a while back. He was a jerk to the dealer then, and was a jerk this time too. It felt great to stack him on his $35 pre-flop raise UTG when I was on the button with QQ.

Flop came A Q 4. He's insta all-in, and after looking at him for about 5 seconds, I found him yapping at me, saying "Come on kid, let's see what you're made of".

While shoving my stack in, I reminded him that I was made of women. And three of them in this particular instance.

He was made of A 10.

Casino Regina.

Soon to become my second home with what is going on there so far.

If anyone knows of some good buy in tourneys there (satellites, sit n' gos, whatever), please let me know. I am easily willing to sell a piece to anyone who wants to get in on this. My roll isn't huge, but my oh my, if I'm gonna be in this casino regularly it will be!!

Thank Goodness for Mike Caro. I have already paid for that book 10 times over and then some.

And thank goodness for PSO. It was points that got the book in the first place. PSO rocks!!

Let's see if it gets a WSOP seat too in the future. (dreaming again......)

Just wait until variance kicks in and you'll hate live play ;)

Losing AA to 3Jo with a 10x BB pre-flop raise SUCKS.

Haha, I am now a regular at the CR. Only been playing there for a couple months, but I've had probably 26 winning sessions and only 2 or 3 where I've been down.

It's frustrating when you overbet flop and turn only to be rivered by a flush, but it will continue to feel good when they miss and stare blankly at you while you rake in the pot.

There are 2 or 3 decent regulars there, but everyone seems very impatient. PM me for more info.
