Understandably, many of our customers are new to message boards and have never posted a picture before. It can be a little confusing, so here's a step-by-step process on how to do so. Now you'll be able to post a picture in the Rate Your Experience forum to receive 250 points (please post in a new thread, by the way).

STEP 1

Upload your picture to an image hosting website. There are several good ones available, but the most popular, and the one we'll use in this example, is Imageshack. The address is http://www.imageshack.us.

Once you are at Imageshack, you may want to create an account first, as that way, you can return to the site to retrieve past uploads. You can still upload without an account - you'll just have to do everything you want with the picture right then and there, as you won't be able to find it at the site again later.

To upload, click the "Browse" button to locate the image file on your computer. For the purposes of this picture, I suggest checking the box labeled "resize image" and then choose "640x480". You can make the picture smaller, if you'd like. Whatever looks good. Just don't make it huge.

Click the "host it!" button and your picture will be uploaded to Imageshack.

Here's a screenshot:

STEP 2

Once your image is uploaded, you will be presented with a whole bunch of different links. Copy the very last one, labeled, "Direct link to image."

STEP 3

In your PSO forum post, click on the "Img" button above your message window. This will insert an image tag that will look like this: [img].

Next, paste the URL that you copied from Imageshack immediately following that [img] tag.

Finally, click the "Img" button again to close the tag with this: [/img]

You should now have something that looks like:

[img]INSERT%20IMAGE%20URL%20HERE[/img]

That [img] string will produce this:

Note: Sometimes clicking on the "Img" button inserts the [img] tag way at the end of your post. If you are having trouble with this, you can just manually type the tags at the beginning and end of your URL or you can highlight the URL and then click the button.

That's all there is to it. Just upload to Imageshack, copy the URL, and paste it into your post.

Have fun!

Ignore me, I'm just getting my first post done here so my second post can be of my chipset.

Edit: Got it working now. Made another post on a different thread and then all was good.
