Was playing Party Poker bad beat jackpot table... jackpot was up to $2,600. To win the jackpot.. you must have AAA66 or better.. and lose to get 1/2 the pot... AND you must use both your pocket cards in the hand.

Was dealt pocket kings.
JAAA7 on the board.
Other player had A2.

So... I had AAAKK.. and other player had AAAA2... but because other player didn't use the "2" in the hand.. I did not get 1/2 the pot which would have been $1,300.

The bad thing about all this is... I knew the other player had A's when he was betting.. but I didn't want to give up the jackpot.. so I couldn't fold. So he bet/raised me to death.. so I lost about $40 on the hand.. PLUS.. missed the $1,300.

I think I'm going to cry:(

lame, I guess all he needed was a Queen or a King in his hand to be able to use both cards.

That just sucks.....

At the casino where I play in Kansas City, you would have won the Bad Beat anyway.

Only the player who loses has to use both his cards, the winner can use just one.

That really sucks man.
